The Shipments present in the Management of E-commerce you will be able to set the price of your shipments by using several parameters:

  • Nation of receipt of the order;
  • The target region (only for Italy);
  • The city of destination;
  • The amount of the order;
  • The weight of the order.

It will also be possible to set up some special rules, for use when the location of the customer who made a purchase is not included in any rule set. In this particular you can choose not to complete the order or offer of a price default.

You can add more than one rule, the shipping facility will identify the one that best corresponds to the order in the course. We can choose to set the charge rate to be applied in function to the nation, successively defining the ranges of weight and/or price for the application of the rule. In addition to the same rule we may decide to apply more options, ciascina with a price.

For example, we set the shipping for Belgium with two rates (normal and fast), no weight limits, but with limits on the amount according to the following scheme:

  • Normal cost between 0€ and 50€, without limits of weight: 35€
  • Normal with spending more than 50€, without limits of weight: 55€
  • Fast, cost between 0€ and 50€, no weight limit: 50€
  • Fast with spending more than 50€, without limits of weight: 70€

Once you have clicked on New rule there will be enough to enter the following data, by clicking on the save.

The Shipping facility allows you to descend into a level of detail greater than the simple nation, allowing you to customize the destinations to individual towns.
By setting different rules for locations, the system can automatically perform a control to assign the cost of shipping eligible on the basis of the town deli customer who made the purchase on your site.

We, for example, have set up rules of shipping are distinct for:

  • Italy;
  • The Lazio Region;
  • The city of Rome.

In the case that a customer has set Rome as the location for the shipment of the purchased product, the cart will be added the cost of shipping that pertain to Rome.

If the location selected for the expedition had been another town of Lazio, as, for example, Frosinone, would be added to the cost of shipping that pertain to the Region of Lazio.

For l’Italy is also expected to be able to set rules that will be adopted both at the level of individual regions and at the level of the city, for the last possibility we have to act by setting the CAP of zone addresses which identify the targets of our interest.
Let's see the case of setting a general rule for the Region of Lazio, followed by a rule specific to the city of Rome.

As a first step, we select the nation of Italy and, subsequently, select create variant for the regions.

DettaglioZonePostali01

In the screen that will be presented to be able to select one or more regions to which to apply the new rule.

DettaglioZonePostali02

Will be proposed to the rules of shipping generated previously, at the time of the creation of the rules for nations, we can then decide which of these make available for the selected regions and at what price.

As a last step we will be able to configure in detail the individual areas of postage, through the addition of rules that take account of the individual CAP.
To do this we add again to create a new variant for the regions, then selecting the option to create a rule based on the CAP, and assign it a name.

DettaglioZonePostali07

At this point we just have to add the list of the CAP, separated by commas, for which the rule will be valid. In this circumstance we will be able to decide what shipping options to adopt and at what price.

All the rules created are flanked by the icons depicting a pencil and a trash can, allowing you to access functions to modify the rule or delete it.

For countries different from Italy, we have features similar to those seen previously, lma is not possible to set rules based on regions. We can then define national rules followed by more specific rules based on CAP/ZIP Codes.

See, for example, adding to the region of France of a rule specific to the city of Lyon.
Select the first item create variants for regions from the nation that you want to modify.

There will be enough time to add the identification codes of the areas of postage, give the rule a name and select options and costs to make available.
